Quixotic! With Storyteller Andy Davis

New Hampshire storyteller Andy Davis brings us “Quixotic,” an engrossing and humorous one-man show which celebrates his long relationship with Don Quixote, and the capacity of art to impact the world. Through personal story, scenes from the novel, an appearance by the author himself, and a snapshot from recent history, he connects the themes of Cervantes’s masterwork to the enduring questions as to how humans should live. No prior knowledge of the novel is necessary for enjoyment.

$10 Suggested Donation!

“With humor, heart, and a masterful command of language, Andy wove together tales inspired by Cervantes’ Don Quixote, leaving the audience laughing, reflecting, and utterly captivated. Each story—whether deeply personal, wildly imaginative, or quietly profound—sparkled with the unmistakable touch of a seasoned storyteller who knows exactly how to hold a room.“

—Greg Marsello, program coordinator,
Whitney Community Center, Jackson, NH

“Andy Davis delivers a masterful performance with humor, poignancy and historical relevance with his Quixotic. The show spans a few centuries, weaving the personal with the historical, leaving us not just with a deep appreciation for the novel, but also that of Cervantes’ life, and the lives of others centuries later. A must see.”

—Antonio Rocha, Gray, Maine, recipient of the Circle of Excellence Award of the National Storytelling Network

“A storyteller with brains and heart.”
—Michael Parent, National Storytelling Network Circle of Excellence laureate

“Andy Davis shovels the high-grade malarkey!”
—Lynne Cullen, host of Seanachie Nights Storytelling Series, Portland, Maine

“Andy Davis is a storyteller of remarkable guile and wit… one of the best.”
—Joanne Piazzi, host of the ‘Storytelling in the Pantry’ series, Rochester, New Hampshire

MJF: Building New Futures

This Ramadan, we're moving our dollars into our local communities. Join Muslims for Just Futures Chicago for the launch of our Capital for Just Futures program at two conversation-centered iftars, in partnership with Muslim-owned businesses Pak Sweets and Nabala Cafe.

We'll break bread, build together, and share our new MJF Business Hub Resource Guide.

Over the past several months, immigration enforcement and federal occupations have devastated small businesses across Chicago. From Devon Avenue to immigrant neighborhoods citywide, owners report sharp revenue declines.

All proceeds from iftar ticket sales will directly support local, community-owned businesses in Chicago.

📌 Please note: Each iftar can only accommodate up to 18-20 people.

While we are offering them for free, if you are able to, we encourage you to make contributions so MJF can support/resource local businesses through our Capital for Just Futures program
